Kampala Junior Humanitarian Foundation (KJHF) is a grassroots, community-driven humanitarian organization committed to restoring dignity, improving wellbeing, and expanding opportunities for vulnerable populations across Nigeria. Founded on the principles of compassion, equity, and service, KJHF works at the intersection of health, mental health, child protection, education, and social welfare to address both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term community resilience.
Over the past five years, KJHF has grown into a trusted community partner, delivering life-saving and life-improving interventions in underserved and hard-to-reach communities, particularly in Akwa Ibom State and neighboring regions. Our approach combines evidence-based practices with deep community engagement, ensuring that our interventions are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and sustainable.
KJHF exists to provide holistic humanitarian and development support to vulnerable populations through integrated health services, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), education assistance, and social protection initiatives. We aim to reduce suffering, promote wellbeing, and empower communities to build safer, healthier, and more resilient futures.
KJHF adopts a community-centered and multi-sectoral approach to humanitarian service delivery. Our programs are designed and implemented in close collaboration with community leaders, health professionals, educators, and government institutions. We align our work with national policies and internationally recognized frameworks, including World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, IASC standards for mental health and psychosocial support, and child protection best practices.
